Student Visionaries of the Year South Florida

Pheona's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser
I am joining this campaign because I want to help fight cancer by raising funds and spreading awareness. It is important to me because my mother’s family friend growing up, Anthony Arena, recently passed away from Leukemia at the age of 56 and I am raising these funds in honor of him, his family, and every other cancer patient out there.
Help me help them!
A little bit about me:
I was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and I am currently a junior at St. Thomas Aquinas High School. I live with my parents, my 17 year old brother, and my dog, Rex. I am involved in many school clubs and organizations outside of school, through which I help better our county and keep our environment clean. In my free time, I hand make and sell jewelry on Etsy and work part-time at Phat Boy Sushi in the takeout department. When I was nominated for the LLS Students of the Year, I was beyond excited to have the opportunity to make an impact in cancer patients lives!

Visionaries look to the future—and see infinite possibility.
They challenge the status quo—and make the impossible possible.
They boldly imagine a better world – and lead the charge to create it.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.
I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help.
This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.
As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:
- Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
- Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
- Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!
Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!

Being a survivor of Follicular Lymphoma, I am more than happy to donate.

I witnessed over the years progress of all the research, medications, that are being implemented due to the fundraising that Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has made the difference. My one cousin, Briand died over 25 years ago from leukemia. Today, my cousin would be alive. Thank you for all of your hard work.

My niece Pheona is a very empathetic human being, whose wish it is that all young people be able to live full lives unencumbered by sickness and she’s channeling her efforts toward the leukimia/lymphoma society hoping they will improve and lengthen many lives
